Paint party! Honors Society Plans Fundraiser for Kids with Cancer

Want to help send kids stricken with cancer to a Walt Disney World adventure?

Chi Epsilon, the Valencia Community College West Campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, a national honors society, is planning a night of fun Friday, April 15, to raise money for the effort.

“Neon Night” is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the parking lot next to the Health Sciences Building.

Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 at the door.

Guests should wear white to enjoy an evening of dancing to a DJ, food, giveaways and play with fluorescent paint.

Phi Theta Kappa chapters traditionally pick a public service project to work on through the year. Chi Epsilon has been working to raise awareness about the life-saving potential of bone marrow donation.

The chapter held an informational meeting last month in support of the organization called Kids Beating Cancer. So far, the chapter has registered an additional 100 potential donors to the National Bone Marrow Registry.
