Hurricanes not only affect coastal communities, but also can have significant impacts hundreds of miles inland. It only takes one to change your life and your community. As Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria have reminded us, it is not just major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher) that we need to worry about. All hurricanes can potentially cause significant damage.
Valencia Alerts
If severe weather is approaching Central Florida, Valencia’s public safety officials will strive to provide a timely warning. The West Campus Security Office serves as the college’s Emergency Operations Center.
In an emergency, all students and employees will receive emergency notifications and updates through the Valencia Alerts system to their cell phone, home phone, email, or via the Valencia Safety App with important emergency notifications and updates. Therefore, it’s extremely important that you make sure your Valencia Alert contact information is correct. To confirm your Valencia Alerts contact information and preferences, please log into Atlas and click on Valencia Alerts. Follow the directions for updating your phone numbers and email information. If you experience any issues updating your Valencia Alerts, contact OIT.
