Valencia Professor Quoted in Inside Higher Ed on Textbook Costs

Across the country, colleges and universities are grappling with a thorny issue: How to reduce the cost of college textbooks, to help make college affordable for students.
At Valencia, Professors Lisa Macon and Damion Hammock have spent the last academic year leading a task force of faculty members to study the options.
So when a reporter from “Inside Higher Education” wanted to write about the challenges facing faculty selecting open-source textbooks –which are free and available on the Internet — Macon volunteered to be interviewed. Here’s a link to the article.
