Valencia College Displays Best of Student Artwork in Juried Exhibition

Orlando, FL – Come see the best artwork that students produced this year on Thursday, April 20, 2017 when Valencia College opens the 2017 Annual Juried Student Digital, Graphic and Fine Art Exhibition. Taking place in the Anita S. Wooten Gallery, a reception and awards ceremony will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m, with refreshments served.

Awards will be handed out at 7:00 p.m. to recognize outstanding work that includes drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and design as well as graphic design and interactive design.

From over several hundred submitted pieces, 110 works were chosen. This year’s juror for the fine art selection is Pat Greene, who has a degree in fine art from UCF and is the gallery curator at Avalon Island in Downtown Orlando. Graphics professionals from the Valencia Graphics Advisory Board selected the works for their category.

The exhibition will run through May 19. The Anita S. Wooten Gallery, which is on Valencia’s East Campus in Building 3. It will be open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and is free to the public.

Valencia’s East Campus is located at 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail.
