Valencia Dance Concert to Feature Works by Guest Choreographers

Valencia College will hold its Annual Spring Dance Concert on March 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. in Valencia’s East Campus Performing Arts Center.

The concert is a staple of the spring arts calendar. Each year since 1991, the concert has highlighted guest artists and choreography by faculty members, and features student, faculty and guest dancers. Valencia College Dance July 2014

This year, the concert features an original work, Kaleidescape, collaborated with Jun Kuribayashi, artistic associate at Pilobolus Dance Theatre, an award-winning modern dance company based in Connecticut. In addition, the concert will also feature Heartland by Valencia College artistic director Lesley Brasseux Rodgers and Voices to the Rhythm, by guest artist and former Alvin Ailey dancer Derrick Minter.

Ticket prices are $12 for the general public and $10 for Valencia employees, students, alumni and senior citizens. Tickets are $6 for children ages 12 and under. (NOTE: Current Valencia College students will be admitted free with a current Valencia College I.D., but these tickets will be issued at the door one hour prior to the performance).
