Valencia College’s Symphonic and Jazz Bands will perform a free Halloween concert on Thursday, Oct. 31 at the outdoor stage of the new School of Arts and Entertainment building. The concert will run from 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., with a performance from the symphonic band starting at 12:30 p.m., followed by a performance from the jazz ensemble at 1:30 p.m.
This year, spooky and spirited sounds will fill East Campus as the two bands play music highlighting the Halloween spirit. A few of the selected pieces include music from the classic film “The Wizard of Oz,” tunes from pop music legend Stevie Wonder, jazz classics and other exciting songs.
Members of both bands will get in the holiday spirit by dressing up in their Halloween costume of choice, and guests and listeners are encouraged to wear costumes as well.
The School of Arts and Entertainment’s outdoor stage is located on the northern end of the college’s East Campus at 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando.
