Osceola Campus to Honor 9/11 Victims in Countywide Ceremony

KISSIMMEE — To honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Valencia College’s Osceola Campus will again serve as the host for Osceola County’s Sept. 11 county-wide memorial service.

The ceremony will be held on Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. in the courtyard behind Building 4.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Joe Richardson, vice president of student affairs at Valencia College, a U.S. Air Force Academy graduate and a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

The memorial service will include participants from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Osceola County Emergency Services, Kissimmee Police and Fire Departments, St. Cloud Police and Fire Departments, the 463rd Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol, and local retired FDNY and NYPD first responders.

Gina Marie Incandela will sing the national anthem and the Osceola County School for the Arts Vocal Ensemble will also perform patriotic songs.
