Best of Student Artwork Goes on Display in East Campus Gallery

Orlando, FL – Come see the best artwork that Valencia students produced this year when Valencia opens the 2014 Valencia Digital Media, Graphic Design and Fine Art Student Exhibition in the Anita S. Wooten Gallery on Friday, April 18, with a reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

There will be an award ceremony at 7:30 p.m. for outstanding work that includes drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and design as well as graphic design and interactive design.

From over 300 submitted entries, 120 were selected for display. The juror for the fine art selections was Jason Burrell, associate director of the School of Visual Arts and Design at the University of Central Florida. Graphics professionals from the Valencia Graphics Advisory Board selected the works for the graphics area.

The exhibition will run through May 22. The Anita S. Wooten Gallery, which is on Valencia’s East Campus in Building 3, room 112, will be open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (except when the college is closed for breaks), and is free to the public.

Valencia’s East Campus is located at 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail.
