With the release of the fall issue of Vitae, the award-winning magazine of Valencia College, comes the launch of a new website: http://www.valenciacollege.edu/vitae.
The site–which was created by Valencia’s Marketing & Strategic Communications department–features exclusive web content including videos and photo slideshows, plus engaging feature stories, college news, campus happenings and alumni updates. Perhaps the best part of the new website is this: you can now read it on an iPad or iPhone, something you couldn’t do with the previous Flash-based publishing platform.
In the current issue of Vitae, the cover story “The Debt Trap” takes a look at how easy borrowing has ensnared America’s college students in a trillion dollars of loan debt, and offers tips on how to avoid or minimize borrowing in the first place. Another feature takes you on a field trip to India where biology students study the reptilian inhabitants of a rainforest. And in a new how-to series, we invited award-winning nature photographer and professor Jack Rogers to share his tips for taking eye-catching photos of the wildlife in your own backyard. All this—plus spotlights on the art and horror of Phantasmagoria and in-house filmmaker and schmoozer Ralph Clemente—in this month’s issue. Click here to read on.
