Kathleen Plinske, president of the Osceola and Lake Nona campuses of Valencia College, is the 2012 recipient of the Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Young Alumni Award. Also on this year’s list of IU’s distinguished alumni are a former U.S. ambassador and a Hall of Fame women’s basketball coach. Dr. Plinske will be among the honorees at an Oct. 5 banquet in Bloomington, Indiana. Read IU’s story here.
In August, Dr. Plinske was also named the 2012 Outstanding Female of the Year in Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 competition.
