The new issue of Vitae includes articles on:
· The upcoming film “Renee,” the tale of an Orlando teen who falls into the world of addiction and “cutting,” and the friends who band together to help her get into a treatment facility. The movie, which stars Kat Dennings (currently in TV’s “2 Broke Girls”) and Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill”), was filmed entirely in Orlando and Valencia’s film production technology students worked with professionals on the crew.
· The name may change, but the mission remains the same: How Valencia’s partnerships and community programs are essential to the college’s future.
· The exciting work going on in one small corner of the Valencia world: the Criminal Justice Institute. Led by Jeff Goltz and Dave Heffernan, CJI is changing with the times.
