Media Guidelines
The Valencia College’s media relations staff aims to respond to media requests with accurate, transparent and timely information. We partner with the media to help tell the story of the college and its leadership, faculty, staff, students and alumni.
As a public institution, Valencia College permits media representatives to photograph and film in public, outdoor spaces on Valencia’s campuses. We encourage all members of the media who are visiting to notify Valencia’s media relations team in advance by communicating directly with any member of our team. This allows us to help coordinate interviews, if possible, offer parking options and provide helpful information.
On-Campus Filming
News media who plan to film or photograph on Valencia College campuses are asked to notify Valencia College’s media relations team in advance. As a public institution, the college permits media representatives to photograph and film in public, outdoor spaces on campus – as long as the filming does not disrupt classes or the functions of the college.
Valencia College does not permit commercial filming and photography on its campuses. Valencia College students working on film or class projects should clear any on-campus filming with their professors.
