Valencia’s culinary and hospitality students do more than spend time in Valencia’s kitchens and classrooms.
Here in Orlando, one of the nation’s hospitality hot-spots, our students regularly volunteer at community events and fundraisers. There, they get the chance to network with local restaurateurs and hospitality executives.
This spring, Valencia’s culinary and hospitality students were busy helping at A Taste of Compassion, a fundraiser held each year in downtown Orlando that benefits two organizations that help the homeless. At the event, chefs from across the city prepare food for the event-goers, while bands and entertainers wow the crowd.
