Orlando, FL – The Valencia College Theater is proud to present the campy British comedy “Bullshot Crummond” in the college’s Black Box Theater June 5 through June 14.
An irreverent spoof of low-budget detective movies, “Bullshot Crummond” ambitiously stages wild thrills and spills traditionally reserved for the movies: plane crashes, car chases, icy mountain cliff hangers and sword fights. Villain Otto Von Brunno and his evil mistress crash their plane in the English countryside and kidnap Professor Fenton, who has discovered a formula for making synthetic diamonds. Gentleman adventurer Bullshot Crummond is called to the rescue by the professor’s daughter. Despite a series of bumbling mistakes, Crummond saves the day in this hilarious slapstick comedy filled with campy special effects.
The performance will be directed by Tim Williams, an adjunct theater professor at Valencia. Set design and lighting by Kristin Abel.
Performances will be held June 5 through June 14 and will be staged in the Black Box Theater, located in Building 3 on Valencia’s East Campus. These include two Sunday matinee performances at 2 p.m.
General admission tickets cost $12. Senior citizens, Valencia faculty, staff and students may purchase tickets for $10. Tickets can be purchased online at www.valenciacollege.edu/arts.
