Orlando, FL – Valencia College will hold its 15th annual Valencia Dance Summer Repertory Concert on July 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Valencia’s East Campus.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
The concert will showcase the work of high-school students who participate in the Valencia Summer Dance Institute, as well as Valencia College dancers.
The Valencia Summer Dance Institute is a four-week program that provides low-cost instruction to high-school students from Central Florida. Participating students are given the opportunity to work with college and guest instructors.
This year’s concert features works by Lesley Brasseux Rodgers, artistic director of Valencia Dance Theatre; Jeanne Travers and John Parks from University of South Florida; Eric Yow, artistic director of Yow Dance; Kevin Veiga, director of dance at Daytona State College; Katrina Judy, Valencia dance faculty; Emily Sutherland Cordell, alumna of Valencia College and Jacksonville University; Alyssa Marchand, Brittany Ortner, Elizabeth Reyes and Jessica Smith, Valencia College Associate in Arts in Dance Performance alumni; and current dance major Yvona Gonzalez.
Ticket prices are $12 for the general public and $10 for senior citizens and Valencia College students, faculty and staff.
