Winter Choral Concert
The Valencia Singers and Valencia’s Contemporary Ensemble will present the college’s annual Winter Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 20.
The concert will feature a variety of holiday music and carols from many faiths, including works from the Jewish repertoire, such as “Ma Tovu” and “Ivdu Et Adonai,” as well as music from Native American Settings by Kevin Memley, and Mozart’s famous “Laudate Dominum” (Psalm 117). The singers will conclude with Christmas favorites, including “O Come Little Children” and “I Wonder as I Wander.”
At the same concert, Valencia’s Contemporary Ensemble will sing songs from theater and the movies, including selections from musicals of “Legally Blonde,” “Carrie,” “A Christmas Story,” “Elf,” “Into The Woods,” “Phantom Of The Opera,” and “Frozen.”
The Winter Choral Concert will be held in the Performing Arts Center on Valencia’s East Campus, 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando. Admission is free.
Valencia Singers and Contemporary Ensemble at St. Mark’s
The Valencia Singers and Valencia’s Contemporary Ensemble will perform a holiday concert at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church in Altamonte Springs on Nov. 23 at 4 p.m.
The concert will feature a variety of holiday music and carols from many faiths, including works from the Jewish repertoire, such as “Ma Tovu” and “Ivdu Et Adonai,” as well as music from Native American Settings by Kevin Memley, and Mozart’s famous “Laudate Dominum” (Psalm 117). The singers will conclude with Christmas favorites, including “O Come Little Children” and “I Wonder as I Wander.”
Valencia’s Contemporary Ensemble will join the concert at St. Mark’s for the first time, performing selections from musical theater, including Christmas songs and a selection from Disney’s new hit, “Frozen.”
