Valencia College’s Symphonic and Jazz Bands will perform a free Halloween concert on Thursday, Oct. 30 at the outdoor stage of the new School of Arts and Entertainment building. The concert will run 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. with a performance from the symphonic band, followed by a performance from the jazz ensemble.
The Symphonic Band will play a silver screen-worthy program featuring scores from cinematic stalwarts John Williams, Danny Elfman and Henry Mancini.
The Valencia College Jazz Band will play the work of mid-century greats such as Lester Young, Dave Brubeck and Chuck Mangione.
Members of both bands will get in the holiday spirit by dressing up in their Halloween costume of choice.
The School of Arts and Entertainment’s outdoor stage is located on the northern end of the college’s East Campus at 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail, Orlando.
