On Sept. 11, 2013, a crowd of hundreds gathered at Valencia College’s Osceola Campus to mourn the loss of lives and remember the heroes of Sept. 11, 2001. “Remembering 9/11” captures the voices of those at the ceremony, including three firefighters who were on duty in New York on 9/11 and saw first-hand the devastation of Ground Zero. This is the second year that the Osceola Campus has hosted the 9/11 event — and the second year that the college, along with the Rotary Club of Lake Nona, has erected 2,977 flags on the campus green to represent those who were killed on that tragic day.
