Valencia’s president, Sandy Shugart, will make a cameo appearance in the Garden Theatre’s production of the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on Thursday, May 13 at 8 p.m.
Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” retells the Biblical life of Joseph of Canaan and his amazing abilities in energetic fashion and spanning musical styles from calypso to cabaret, rock to country, and more.
Dr. Shugart will perform the role of Potiphar, a powerful and rich Egyptian who purchases Joseph to work in his household but ends up having him thrown into prison after becoming suspicious of Joseph and his wife.
Ticket prices are $22 for general admission and $18 for seniors and students.
