This year, Valencia College will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks with a virtual tribute on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. It will include messages from representatives of our local first responder agencies, elected officials and Valencia students.
A display of 2,977 flags, one flag for each person who died that day, is being installed on our Osceola Campus and will remain up for two weeks. This display will be open to the community as a place for personal reflection on the scale of the loss in the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on the passengers aboard a hijacked plane that crashed in a field near Shanksville, Penn.
