Kissimmee, FL — Eager to find individuals who can teach manufacturing trade skills to the next generation, Valencia College will hold a job fair on April 26 at its Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Kissimmee.

The college, which offers short-term, accelerated training programs that run from four to 28 weeks in length, is searching for experienced technicians from the manufacturing field to teach on a part-time basis.

The college is currently searching for CNC machinists, soldering technicians, welders, industrial maintenance technicians and heavy equipment mechanics who are interested in teaching part-time, during night and day-time sessions.

“The best kept secret in today’s job market is that there are good jobs and careers for people who are willing to learn these valuable and much-needed skills,” says Tiffaney Barnes, senior director of Valencia College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center. “But we need people who have been in these careers to help teach the next generation. That’s why we’re holding this job fair, to attract potential instructors – even those who never thought of themselves as teachers.”

To qualify, potential instructors must have relevant industry experience and a high-school diploma. The part-time instructor positions start at $31.20 per hour.

On-site interviews will be conducted during the hiring event, which will be held on April 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, located at 1099 Cross Prairie Parkway in Kissimmee. To RSVP, please email jobs@valenciacollege.edu or call 407-582-8033.
